Royal Wootton Bassett has made an application to become one of the 12 Mary Portas Pilot schemes.  The Government has set aside one million pounds to support these Pilots but with an expected 300 applications competition is fierce.

The Royal Wootton Bassett bid builds on the strong traditional foundations already present in our High Street, whilst exploring ideas to bring this to a 21^st Century audience with the convenience of modern technology.  In addition to the bid document itself, applicants are requires to make a short YouTube video to promote their idea, we hope you enjoy ours.

Did you know that there was a nature trail for children at Jubilee Lake?   Do you know whether slow-worms are smooth or rough in texture?   If not why not visit and find out many interesting facts about local wildlife in the area.   Perhaps you will spot something new?     Please collect your quiz leaflets from the Town Council Offices at 117 High Street, Wootton Bassett and see what you can spot.
